Today was pamper day. We headed to Centre Point mall, went up to the top floor bargained and then got a mani pedi. It was pretty sweet for less than 150,000rp each, sat in a massage chair and was taken care of.

Indonesia – Tebing Tinggi


We set of early morning to Tebing Tinggi, for breakfast we found a guy selling rojak so I got a huge mixed bag of fresh fruit. We then drove out of Medan, it was a super long journey and the traffic is just crazy here. We passed all these big red signs for Tahu and were wondering what the hell it was all about until we saw this fried tofu place and of course had to stop off to see what all the fuss was about.

Indonesia – Belitung to Medan


We arrived in Medan via Jakarta from Belitung, no dramas this time and the standard delayed flight in Jakarta. We had arranged for a driver to pick us up and take us to Medan from the airport which took around 1 hour or so. There was so much traffic, which is usual for here aparently, it didn’t help that there was an overturned lorry so everyone was slowing down to take a look.

Indonesia – Belitung, exploring the East


For our last day in Belitung we hired a car to explore the East coast of Belitung, we had been told it’s very nice there so thought it was worth checking out.
We hired the car from our hotel for 250,000rp, no insurance or driver’s license needed ha. They just handed over the key and we were off. The road was relatively clear and were in really good condition so it was a comfortable ride, and it took us around 1 hour to get to Manggar.
